Giuliano Pellegrini byl osobností, která zhmotnila myšlenku obnovit vztahy, jež vznikly za 1. světové války mezi obyvateli údolí Valle di Ledro a obyvateli českých a moravských obcí.
Narodil se v obci Pieve di Ledro (okres Trento). Vystudoval fakultu inženýrství na Univerzitě v Brescii. Byl velitelem hasičského sboru obce Pieve di Ledro (1979–2000). V průběhu svého působení se aktivně účastnil akcí na záchranu lidských životů při katastrofě protržení hráze ve Stavě (Val di Fiemme) v roce 1985, při povodni v Canelli (Piemont) v roce 1994, při zemětřesení v Assisi (Umbria) v roce 1997 a při misi Arcobaleno v Kosovu a v Albánii v roce 1999. V letech 2000–2010 působil jako starosta obce Pieve di Ledro a od roku 2010 do roku 2015 pokračoval ve funkci radního Spolku obcí Valle di Ledro. V roce 2015 se svým synem založili ve Valle di Ledro pivovar Birrificio Artigianale Leder, kde se vaří pivo inspirované českými pivy, za které pivovar obdržel mnohá světová ocenění.
Pellegrini dokázal vytvořit mezi našimi a italskými obcemi velké pouto a během politického angažmá ve funkci předsedy Svazu obcí Valle di Ledra se zasloužil o podepsání Dohody o partnerství. Dne 14. října 2011 se stal nositelem ceny Ministerstva zahraničních věcí Gratias Agit za šíření dobrého jména České republiky v zahraničí.
Dne 16. srpna 2022 byla Giulianu Pellegrinimu Okresním hasičským sborem Příbram udělena medaile za zásluhy in memoriam.

Italsko-český projekt "Bohemia mia"
V letech 2008 a 2009 se Giulianovi Pellegrinimu ve spolupráci s Claudiem Colotto a bývalými starosty obcí podařilo vytvořit unikátní projekt moderního přátelství mezi Českou republikou a Itálií. Projekt byl velmi úspěšný i proto, že byl postaven na silném příběhu historických vazeb rodinných přátelství mezi obyvateli Valle di Ledra a českými městy a obcemi, zejména Příbramí, Buštěhradem, Novým Knínem, Všení, Milínem, Pticemi, Chyňavou a Doksy. Čtyři roky soužití Italů a Čechů za první světové války vytvořilo silné vazby mezi českými a italskými rodinami. Tato přátelství přetrvala i po jejich návratu do rodné vlasti, překonala i další světovou válku, i dlouhé období komunistické totality, které rozvoji těchto vztahů nepřálo.
Po sametové revoluci se otevřely možnosti znovu se spojit. Právě Giuliano Pellegrini dokázal na základě historických dokumentů, fotografií a dopisů vytvořit projekt moderního evropského přátelství. Od roku 2008 do současnosti proběhlo mezi obyvateli obou zemí mnoho vzájemných návštěv.
Sousoší Cíl cesty – Příbram
Sousoší darovala obec Valle di Ledro městu Příbram k příležitosti otevření parku u Čekalíkovského rybníka jako poděkování za to, že se v době 1. světové války o italské uprchlíky z údolí Ledra dobře postaralo. Dílo vzniklo pod uměleckým vedením Massimiliana Rosy.
Sousoší, které ztvárnil Giovanni Bailoni, umělec pocházející z města Riva del Garda, vyjadřuje těžkost a náročnost cesty vysídlenců z údolí Valle di Ledro. Je vyrobeno z modřínového dřeva, zpevněného železem a pokryto destičkami ze železa a plechů. Tato technika je pro umělce typická.
Čtyřčlenná rodina, která si nese svázaný ranec osobních věcí a jídla, věrně vystihuje situaci při okamžité evakuaci. Lidé museli opustit svůj rodný kraj a byli posláni dobytčími vagóny ke zcela neznámému cíli – do Čech, do Příbrami.

Giuliano Pellegrini was the person who materialized the idea of restoring the relations that had been established during the First World War between the inhabitants of the Valle di Ledro and the inhabitants of the Czech and Moravian villages.
He was born in Pieve di Ledro (the Trento district). He studied engineering at the University of Brescia. He was the commander of the fire brigade of the municipality of Pieve di Ledro (1979-2000). During his career he actively participated in the actions to save lives during the disaster of the dam breach in Stava (Val di Fiemme) in 1985, the flood in Canelli (Piemont) in 1994, the earthquake in Assisi (Umbria) in 1997 and the Arcobaleno mission in Kosovo and Albania in 1999. From 2000 to 2010 he served as the Mayor of Pieve di Ledro and from 2010 to 2015 he continued as a councillor of the Association of Municipalities of Valle di Ledro. In 2015 he and his son founded the brewery Birrificio Artigianale Leder in Valle di Ledro, where they brew beer inspired by those of the Czech Republic, for which the brewery has received many world awards.
Pellegrini managed to create a great bond between our and Italian municipalities, and during his political engagement as the President of the Union of Municipalities of Valle di Ledro he contributed to the signing of the Partnership Agreement. On 14 October 2011, he was awarded Gratias Agit prize by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for spreading the good name of the Czech Republic abroad.
On 16 August 2022, Giuliano Pellegrini was awarded the Medal of Merit in memoriam by the District Fire Brigade of Příbram.

Czech-Italian Project "Bohemia mia"
In 2008 and 2009, Giuliano Pellegrini, in cooperation with Claudio Colotto and former mayors of municipalities, succeeded in creating a unique project of modern friendship between the Czech Republic and Italy. The project was also a great success because it was based on the strong story of historical family friendships between the inhabitants of the Alpine Ledro Valley near Lago di Garda and Czech towns and villages, especially in the Příbram, Buštěhrad, Nový Knín, Všeň, Milín, Ptice, Chyňava and Doksy. Four years of living together during the World War I created strong ties between Czech and Italian families. They persisted after their return home, through another world war and the long period of communist totalitarianism, which did not benefit the development of these relations. After the Velvet Revolution, opportunities for renewed contacts opened up. It was Giuliano Pellegrini who, on the basis of historical documents, photographs and letters, managed to create a solid project of modern European friendship between the Czech and Italian families. Since 2008 to the present day, countless active exchanges and mutual visits have taken place between the inhabitants of both areas.
Sculpture Destination – Příbram
The sculpture was donated by the municipality of Valle di Ledro to the town of Příbram on the occasion of the opening of the park at Čekalíkovský Pond as a gratitude for taking good care of the Italian refugees from the Ledro Valley during World War I. The work was created under the artistic direction of Massimiliano Rosa.
The sculpture made by Giovanni Bailoni, an artist from Riva del Garda, expresses the hardship and difficulty of the journey of the displaced people of the Valle di Ledro. It is made of larch wood, reinforced with iron, and covered with plates of iron and metal. This technique is typical of the artist.
A family of four carrying a bundle of personal belongings and food truly describes the situation during the immediate evacuation. The people had to leave their native land and were sent by cattle cars to a completely unknown destination - to Bohemia, to Příbram.

Giuliano Pellegrini è stato un personaggio che ha concretizzato l'idea di rilanciare i rapporti nati tanti anni fa durante la Prima Guerra Mondiale, tra gli abitanti della Valle di Ledro e gli abitanti dei comuni boemi e moravi.
Giuliano Pellegrini è nato a Pieve di Ledro (provincia di Trento). Si è laureato presso la Facoltà di Ingegneria presso l'Università di Brescia. È stato il comandante dei vigili del fuoco del comune di Pieve di Ledro (1979–2000). Durante il suo mandato, ha partecipato attivamente ad azioni per salvare vite umane durante il disastro della diga crollata a Stava (nord Italia) nel 1985, durante l'alluvione di Canelli (Piemonte) nel 1994, durante il terremoto di Assisi (Umbria) nel 1997 e durante la missione Arcobaleno in Kosovo e in Albania nel 1999. Negli anni 2000-2010 ha lavorato come sindaco del comune di Pieve di Ledro e dal 2010 al 2015 ha proseguito come consigliere del comune unico di Ledro. Nel 2015, lui e suo figlio hanno fondato il Birrificio Artigianale Leder in Valle di Ledro, dove viene prodotta birra ispirata a quella ceca, per la quale il birrificio ha ricevuto numerosi premi mondiali.
Pellegrini ha saputo creare un grande legame tra i nostri comuni e comuni della valle e durante il suo impegno politico come presidente dell'Unione dei Comuni della Valle di Ledro, è stato promotore dell'Accordo di Gemellaggio, avvenuto il 28 giugno 2008.
Il 14 ottobre 2011, Giuliano Pellegrini ha ricevuto il premio "Gratias agit" per aver diffuso il buon nome della Repubblica Ceca all'estero. Il 16 agosto 2022 a Giuliano Pellegrini è stata conferita una medaglia al merito in memoriam dai Vigili del Fuoco del Distretto di Příbram.

Il progetto italo-ceco "Bohemia mia"
Nel 2008 e nel 2009, Giuliano Pellegrini in collaborazione con Claudio Colotta e Sindaci degli ex Comuni, sono riusciti a creare un progetto unico di moderna amicizia tra la Repubblica Ceca e l'Italia. Il progetto ha avuto un grande successo anche perché era costruito su una forte storia di legami storici di amicizia familiare tra gli abitanti della Valle di Ledro vicino al Lago di Garda e città e paesi cechi, in particolare Příbram, Buštěhrad, Nový Knín, Všeň, Milín, Ptice, Chyňava e Doksy. Quattro anni di convivenza tra ledrensi e cechi durante la prima guerra mondiale hanno creato forti legami tra le famiglie ceche e italiane. Dopo il loro ritorno in patria, dopo pochi anni si ebbe la seconda guerra mondiale e successivamente, nell‘allora Cecoslovacchia, vi fu un lungo periodo di totalismo comunista, che non favorì lo sviluppo di questi rapporti.
Dopo la Rivoluzione di Velluto si sono aperte opportunità per ristabilire i contatti. Fu Giuliano Pellegrini che, sulla base di documenti storici, fotografie e lettere, seppe creare un progetto di moderna amicizia europea. Dal 2008 ad oggi sono stati innumerevoli scambi attivi e le visite reciproche tra abitanti di tutti e due paesi.
La scultura: Destinazione Příbram
La scultura, che è stata donata alla città Příbram dal Comune di Ledro, come ringraziamento per essersi presa cura degli abitanti italiani della Valle di Ledro durante la Prima Guerra Mondiale, è stata installata in occasione dell'apertura del parco intorno allo stagno di Čekalík. L'opera è stata realizzata sotto la direzione artistica di Massimiliano Rosa.
La scultura, realizzata da Giovanni Bailoni, artista dalla città Riva del Garda, esprime lo smarrimento e la difficoltà del viaggio di profughi della Valle di Ledro. La struttura della scultura è fatta in legno di larice, rinforzata con ferro ed è rivestita con piastre di ferro e lamiere. Questa tecnica è una connotazione tipica del' artista Giovanni Bailoni.
La famiglia è composta di quattro personaggi che portano con se un fagotto di cose personali e cibo. L'opera descrive molto bene una famiglia che ha dovuto lasciare la terra natale durante l‘evacuazione ed è stata inviata con carri di bestiame verso l'ignoto. Inizia così il loro viaggio verso una destinazione completamente sconosciuta: nella Repubblica Ceca, a Příbram.
